Gulf Coast
Resort News
July
2009
What we did…
Single’s weekend, hosted by the Single Naturists of Tampa Bay, was a
lot of fun. Our attendees had a scavenger hunt and a clue hunt, to
help them learn the ins and outs of Gulf Coast Resort. Then they
joined the rest of us to boogie at the Father’s Day Dance.
What
we’re doing…
Celebrate America … and nudity!! Don’t miss Gulf Coast
Resort’s huge All American Fourth of July Bash!
Festivities will kick off at noon Saturday. From noon to 4pm, enjoy
traditional 4th of July lawn games. Try your hand at watermelon seed
spitting, pie-eating contest, water balloon toss, badminton,
beanbag, horseshoes, and much more.
Ribfest begins at 4:00 PM. For only $7, you get a plate of delicious
pork spareribs with sides. As always, the Cheeki-Tiki will keep your
thirst quenched! Tickets are on sale now.
Once your belly is full, get ready for the pool dance! From 6:00 PM
to 11:00 PM, Gotcha’ Covered DJ music will rock the waves with all
your favorites.
The sun will set at 8:31 pm, and shortly thereafter…turn your eyes
to the heavens for our always great fireworks display.
Please make your reservations early by calling (727) 868-1061, or
email gulfcoastresort@aol.com.
See y’all soon!
July 18 is the date for the next Gulf Coast Resort Blood Drive,
followed by a dance that evening with DJ Denny.
The AANR World Record Skinny-Dip
How many of y’all can say you’re in the Guinness World Records™?
Here’s your big chance!
As the finale of Nude Recreation Week (July 5-11, 2009), AANR and
its affiliated clubs will attempt to set the record for simultaneous
skinny-dipping!
The record attempt will be on Saturday, July 11, 2009 at 3:00 PM ENT
(Eastern Nudist Time). Gulf Coast Resort’s beautiful pool is the
place to be to participate!
To ensure maximum participation, day fees will be waived for all
card carrying members of nudist organizations or clubs (AANR, TNS,
your club, etc.). All others will pay a low, low day fee of $5 (now
that’s a bargain!).
It is advised that you come early, as you must be registered for the
event. Photo releases are also mandatory, as the event must be
documented and certified.
Perhaps the best part is you will get to enjoy our beautiful
grounds, play games, and socialize with the friendliest nudists
around! As always, great food and beverage is available.
If you plan to stay overnight, it is advised that you make your
reservations early (normal rates apply) by calling GCR or email us.
But act now!
Whether you’re a first-time dipper, or an old pro, you’ll not want
to miss this. Pass the word, bring a friend, put your swimsuit in
mothballs…it’s gonna’ be a blast at GCR!
What’s coming up…
“I came upon a child of God…” Do you remember the rest of the
lyrics by Crosby, Stills & Nash in 1969? Well, you can relive it all
at Gulf Coast Resort, August 15-16.
We are commemorating the 40th Anniversary of the 1969 Woodstock Arts
and Music Festival! Our festival begins on August 15th, with
continuous music from noon to midnight. The fun will carry over into
Sunday the 16th.
We won’t run out of food or drinks like the first, and you probably
won’t get as muddy! You don’t even have to climb over a fence to
get in! We do recommend that you book early though!
Vendor opportunities exist. Call Terre at (727) 868-6812 for vendor
information, or email her at
tcar1951@hotmail.com.
Dust off your beads, and dig out your dashiki. The summer of love is
alive and well at GCR!
Update on Gail’s condition…
Gail is still unable to come back to work or
to visit us here, so please keep her in your thoughts and prayers
for a speedy recovery.
AANR/AANR-FL/WINR …
The WINR luncheon is on Tuesday, July 14 at Caliente.
Go-Go Chicks Red Hat news…
This month the Red Hats will be going to Flo’s house for a potluck
on July 9, at 12:30. Ladies, please check the bulletin board in the

Chick Red Hatter.
Plan ahead….
Our next Show Palace date is Feb 28, 2010. We
